"The Nigger" In The Woodpile is a piece in my Black Horror Series in which I created 7 self-portraits using the mediums of photography, graphic design, and illustration.
This piece was created using photography and Adobe Photoshop.
Inspiration
This political cartoon describes how Abraham Lincoln was using enslaved Black people to support the Republican platform. Abraham Lincoln is pretending that he doesn't know that his entire political career is being supported by the promise of abolition.

Process
To replicate the one in the photo, I designed a wooden structure that could be easily built and taken down. In my studio, my mom helped me build this.
